Jewett Maine takes its name from the coast that inspired it. A stretch of the world where the firs grow down to the waterline, the fog rolls in soft and grey, and the light at the end of the day turns everything to amber. It is a place that has never been in a hurry, and never needed to be.

That's the feeling we set out to put into clothing. Not costume, not nostalgia for its own sake. Just well-considered pieces in calm colors and natural-feeling fabrics, made for people who'd rather own a few good things than a closet full of things they'll forget by spring.

To make timeless, comfortable clothing for grown-ups who are tired of disposable fashion, and to treat them honestly while we do it. That means clothes worth keeping, prices without games, and straight answers about how something fits before you ever place an order.
